If you want it taken off, they'll probably do it - if you make a point of saying it hurts when you're carrying something, i.e. it interferes with your life, they might be more likely to look at it sympathetically.

The traditional cure is to whack them with the family Bible until they go away, but I don't recommend that :-) x

If you don't care about it, I wouldn't bother. If it bothers you, going to the quack won't hurt.

Having seen that page, I wonder if it describes the lumps on the tendons in my ankles :)

If it is causing you problems, getting in the way then get it "looked at" by your GP. If its small then you may find it can be done quite quickly.
