Hey there, Queen of Hearts!
It's been a long time since we've posted one of these, so we're asking for:
Event SuggestionsWhat types of events would you like to see more of at QoH? While we as the mods try to come up with events that will be enjoyable, we'd like to have more input from you, our players. In the end, our goal is for as many people

Things I saw on anoncomm and Plurk:
Event where people blurt out the truth/can't lie.
Event where all the filters break, possibly combined with the above.
Event where characters need to read a book from the library and submit a book report.
Everyone forced into a sleepover? With spin-the-bottle? Mysterious disappearances and stereotypical horror movie cliches?
An event somehow based around BLIND DATES.
MAGICAL BLIND DATES: The characters can't recognize each other or something. Even if they say their names!! It could lead to interesting CR or development between people that already know each other or stay away from each other.
Another party where people are somehow magically (if OoCly wanted by the players) paired up with dates?
Another event involving Echidna would be great.

Re: Timing
My only issue is that events seem to start on the weekend, when I'm less able to do tags, and that's 1) really not even a thing because they last long enough to get stuff done and 2) probably more convenient for everyone else. So in the end this was kind of pointless never mind.
I tend to prefer it when the events last a fairly long while, just so everyone can get their stuff done. (Especially the slower taggers!)
Overall, I'm pretty happy with how things are going now. Rock on!

Regarding the timing of events: I do like when they usually start, how you're alternating them with smaller events, and the event calendars we're shown at the beginning of the month, but I'd really like events to have a concrete end date. A lot of the ones I've been back for have had a start date but no indication as to when they end. I think that's caused some of them to drag on longer than necessary. I'd imagine a week or a week-and-a-half is the most an event should last and I'd really appreciate a date given for the last day when given the start dates for every event. Some people like to backtag for long periods and that's fine, but that's no reason to keep an event going longer than necessary, since people can still backtag threads and posts even after an event ends. If an event goes on too long, we just get days of inactivity where people that aren't backtagging things from week(s+) ago have nothing to do and no new posts are made, etc.

Also, I've always liked events where characters are temporarily given some kind of AU memories, whether that be of them thinking they've always been residents of the setting or otherwise.
I also like events that are more action-oriented, but I understand that can make non-fighter characters feel excluded, so.
Or maybe just... Something involving silly frilly dresses?
And I'll second ideas involving Echidna, truth-telling, and sleepovers/spin the bottle/etc, with or without horror movie silliness.
SO YEAH, THAT'S ALL I GOT. The timing of the events and all that works fine for me, so.

Okay, out of ideas for real this time.

Just going to echo this by saying +1
Perhaps everyone can be assumed to have been in the gardens for those ten years and people can make up random CR/romances/etc that would have come and gone and whatnot.
It'll definitely make things awkward and interesting when everyone reverts to normal.
