America arrives surprisingly early on in the party, dressed as a serial killer who seems to be suspiciously from a movie. As always, she immediately heads toward the food, but is stopped in her tracks by a cheesy fake ghost hanging from the ceiling.

She's been on edge due to her and England's tradition of scaring each other, so she runs away from it as fast as possible. This causes her to bump into people, and possibly use whoever she finds first as a shield.

"Hey!" Amamiya protests as America bumps past and starts cowering behind her. She's dressed as a bunny - not one of those stereotypical 'sexy' bunnygirl outfits, but just a pair of ears, some facepaint, and a big cotton-ball tail poking out from the top of her skirt.

She looks up at the phantasm that had frightened the other girl so. "It's a bedsheet with eyes cut out of it," she observed dryly.

One of the people she bumped into was Austria. The other nation squeaked in surprise before turning to scowl at her.

"Amerika, could you possibly be more careful?"

... was that Tenshi that showed up at the Halloween party without a costume?

She seemed a bit shorter than usual. Not to mention, her Sword of Hisou was out and emitting a pretty rainbow color scheme rather than its usual. She'd occasionally run her hand straight through the "energy blade" and just... giggle. Yeah, that thing wasn't going to hurt anybody.

That's right, Kazumi was dressed up as Tenshi for Halloween.

This couldn't possibly cause any problems, right?

[Xion hurries up to the newcomer excitedly, not...noticing the difference at first.]

Tenshi! You came!

[there's a pause as she processes this.]

Oh! Your costume is to be Tenshi!

It looks great! I was totally fooled.

Minerva made her way to the party, wearing a voluminous black robe, pointed black shoes, a tall black pointed hat, and a wry smile. No one need know that the outfit was merely among the wardrobe that had been brought to the Gardens along with her. She had always enjoyed Halloween partly for that reason.

And of course, if she really was to be stuck here for an indeterminate time, a party seemed as good an opportunity as any to get acquainted with the Gardens' other residents.

Upon making her rounds, Austria noticed someone here that she didn't recognize. A newcomer? Clearly. She would have to make acquaintance, she decided. She approached, a hint of a polite smile on her face that showed off her fake vampire fangs.

"Guten Abend. I don't believe we've met, have we? My name is Austria, it's a pleasure to meet you."

"Oh, danke. Und Sie auch." She smiled back. "Apologies if my German is a bit rusty. I'm Minerva McGonagall, and likewise."

"How long have you been here now? I assume you've only arrived recently."

Austria would never miss a party. Especially not in the Gardens, where most of them have been to her liking. She arrived fashionably late, dressed as a vampire of sorts, complete with fake fangs.

She wrinkled her nose, at first a bit disappointed in the lack of elegance to this affair, but soon enough became interested in milling about and socializing. Even if she would not be eating any fake eyeballs tonight.

No fake eyeballs? More for Mami then, you loser. But not right now! Right now, Mami is casually slipping over to Austria. She's always liked the older woman, if just for her propriety and elegance, and it would be rude to not at least say hello.

"Ah, Austria-san, how have you been?"

Austria allows a bit of a smile when she notices the girl. Though she's a lot younger than most people that Austria considers to be good company, Mami is very mature for her age and quite elegant, and Austria has found that she enjoys her company more than most other people in the gardens.

"Oh, guten Abend, Mami. I've been well, thank you. And yourself?"

She dips into a curtsy - a sweeping, expansive gesture that draws the eye even more to the pitch black of her gown. "Well enough, I suppose." And she smoothly readjusts her crooked, pointy hat, sparing a glance around. "I suppose you would have preferred a more elegant party, though?"

Halloween was Kyoko's kind of holiday. Excuses to be mischievous? Perfect. Free candy? Hell yes! She arrived at the party right on time, dressed in a black dress, a pair of black cat ears, and a matching tail. She'd even painted whiskers on her face.

Instead of making a beeline for the food table, she opted to stand back and observe the room and the other partygoers for a while first instead.

Kyoko happened to choose a spot by the wall near Akiha. The dark-haired girl was not in costume at all, wearing her usualy white blouse and long red skirt. Her arms were crossed as she watched a group across the way. Akiha really didn't want to be at the party, but she'd been half-dragged along out of a form of responsibility.

She glanced over at the cat-girl when Kyoko stopped nearby but that was it.

Kyoko noticed the other girl's glance and approached, a grin on her face.

"You look bored."

"I am bored," Akiha replied, choosing not to bother looking over. She didn't have to in order to pick up on that grin.
