Characters: Gal and you Date: morning through afternoon Summary: training! Warnings: sweaty mostly-shirtless ladies--wait, not that kind!! will update if necessary.
Sephiroth has recently lost Loly, her only regular sparring partner, and certainly the only one who came close to being her equal in strength, speed, and skill. She doesn't often talk about emotional matters, but she does feel the lack of her erstwhile companion.
In addition, having separated from Kadaj--with some misgivings about leaving the young "woman" without supervision--has left her restless and a little uneasy. Her surveillance sweeps of the Gardens have grown more frequent again, so it's no surprise that she happens to pass by Gal's new training ground. She notices the activity and comes to rest, intrigued.
She approaches Gal, with her usual polite nod of acknowledgment. "Good morning."
She blinks and straightens, a little embarrassed she didn't notice the other woman's presence until she spoke. Talk about letting her guard down. She scolds herself mentally.
"Morning."
Her smile is genuine, though, at seeing a familiar face. There's not enough familiarity here.
"Sephiroth, right?" How could she forget a name like that.
Sephiroth does have an alarming way of appearing suddenly, as some have learned to their misfortune.
"Yes." She inclines her head slightly in her usual greeting. "Gal. It is a pleasure to see another swordswoman here. I had a regular sparring partner for some few weeks, but she recently returned home." Sephiroth is sorry Loly is gone, but she does not regret the loss of anyone here too much, for various reasons. Most--if not all--of the Gardens' residents would prefer to be returned home, Sephiroth herself included.
"So that sword's not just for show, huh? I'm impressed."
She reaches up to scratch the back of her head. "I'll admit that training alone does get a little tedious after a while. If you're up for it, I certainly won't refuse."
[Not really necessary, but the beginning of this scene always plays in my head whenever Kuja makes an entrance.]
"Hello again, my dear." Ordinary humans aren't of great interest to Kuja, and neither are warriors. They're only useful when something is countering her magic, which is rarely a concern. It had been once, before, but that was easily dealt with. The application of a little pressure could do wonders--but that memory reminds her of things she should not have done. She is attempting to be more benevolent.
"I trust you've managed to avoid further injury. Perhaps you find reality a more forgiving milieu than dreams." She eyes the weapons and the other features of the training ground, unimpressed.
[Ha ha, I am glad! I often imagine game scenes and chuckle to myself as I tag.]
Kuja nods.
"That can be difficult here. It's a tiresome domain. There are so few ways to occupy oneself. I am attempting to alleviate the ever-present boredom somewhat. I am currently in the process of building a library, a museum, and a theatre, with the assistance of my architect." The resulting buildings are sure to be an odd blend of the baroque style of Kuja's Gaia and the starker modernism of Reeve's Gaia.
"If you have any works of art or literature to contribute, please don't hesitate to dream them up. The magical loam can be quite useful in that respect."
She whistles a bit in admiration. "That's...quite an endeavor. I'm not much of an artist, but I'm sure I could come up with something."
She tilts her head a bit, thinking. "Is it all just for entertainment, or is there something we could find out about the differences between everyone's worlds this way?"

Gal rubs at the back of her neck, almost sheepishly.
"Good to see you. I've been fine, just...settling in, I guess. As much as anyone can. Trying to keep myself busy, that's all."
