Week two of subitude! ...almost. Tomorrow I have a gig lined up back at my old high school again. I always ask when I get a call but thats just me. AND THAT IS WHY I NEVER EVER DO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. EVER. But I feel like I said that already. Yeah....middle schoolers they're people. I love them. I'm off to work at high school. No idea what i;m doing but I do like it there. When I worked their Tuesday I had a problem boy from another day walk in and go "Oh god. Its you." and I go "Yes yes it is. Hello. We;re not going to have problems today. :D" and then sat him by me. Because FOOL ME ONCE. I let him go back to his friends after the assignment though. Cuz I'm nice that way. But its nice to go to the same place a lot you start to get a reputation. Youre a brave woman doing elementary. When a middle or up kid leaves the room - you just call admin and bam, that kid is busted. The end. And I AM OFF! *yawn* 6:45 is too early to get to work but $$ is $$.

Our calls are automated so there's no one for me to ask :/

And so far--3rd grade wasn't bad. The worst part was that the teacher was super vague in her instructions, but all the kids were eager to help! But yeah no, no more 1st grade if I can help it.

Jesus Christ. I read where the red fern grows ages ago and I know I cried when the dogs died but I didn't remember them dying like that!!! I remember one dog dying (Little Ann I think) and then Dan pining away for her. Or maybe it was Ann pining. But I don't remember the intestines or the dog fight. :(((. I am now über-sad. :(

Killing a cricket inside a building is bad luck! The school roof will cave in or something! They need to light a candle in the east, west, south & north corners of the building! What? Yeah, okay, maybe my sister killed a cricket in the house once not realizing it was a cricket and she made us put up a shrine in its honor that for some reason involved her Mulder & Scully action figures. But it IS folk lore that killing a cricket inside a building it bad luck ( ... )

Oh man, poor kid brother! Maybe it's been found to help with pet grief? I can think of no other explanation for making it required reading.
