.........I just got an interview at a bookstore ten minutes after sending in my application/cover letter.

Imma be honest with you, though: if you want a job, then sometimes you have to give up time with friends/doing things you like/etc. My roommates and I are bffs, and one of them works 20ish hours a week and the other not at all (though he desperately needs to be looking), and the third is the bitch subletter, so she doesn't count, but not the point, but anyway, I work like 45 hours a week and I never get to do fun things. But you're making money! and being more awesome! And bettering yourself! blah blah blah etc.
otoh, bookstore! bookstores are awesome! YOU SHOULD WORK FOR ONE.
and twenty minute drive? bitch please. I had a job three years ago that I had to drive an hour to. one way. at 3 in the morning 4 times a week. but no seriously, twenty minutes is a relatively reasonable commute, it's not horrific. Any more than 35 and it starts being totally ridiculous, both in time it takes up and in gas money. D:

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand yeah, haha, my mom has an hour drive in to her job, then she has to drive around during the day, and then she drives an hour back home. I have no idea how she does it.
