You know what I love best about the holidays? Crafts fairs. Not to sound like an advert or anything, but they're one of the best places to find unique/awesome/perfect gifts for you and the whole family! ...Okay, now not to sound like an advert.

Plus we're Alaska, so we get the kitchy touristy stuff--caribou fur mittens, earings made with porcupine

1. My cat is hilarious.
2. My husband is awesome and just fixed the cabinet doors that won't close with screws and magnets.

1. That's seriously awesome because the funniest thing our cat ever did was jump up on peoples' stomachs--all 25 lbs of him.

1) I have someone who loves me -- bad habits, weird quirks and all.
2) I make neat things! With my own two hands!
3) ...that people want to PAY ME FOR!
4) I have a job! ... Not everyone in my current town can say that.
5) For the first time in my life, my hair reaches my waist. It took ten years to grow out that much, but it's actually long enough it's started to become an annoyance. YAY!

Awww sounds like your life is awesome bb! I would love for people to pay me to be creative (hence the hopeful one-day aspiration to be a novelist, meep). And WOW your hair! I wear mine in braided pigtails a lot, and I always wanted to grow them like, six feet long and use them as ninja weapons. ;3

This was a good exercise, finding five things that are not all that shabby at all about my life. Only sad how long it took. Well. I have an awesome car that responds to my every touch and lets me drive it anywhere and everywhere. My books from Amazon should be here today or tomorrow, including my long-awaited copy of Snuff. I have a two and a half hour drive in front of me today, during which I shall indulge myself by listening to Sherlock slash podfics. :D I got my academic reference from my professor yesterday, and it's made me all \0/ \0/ because she had some awesome things to say. And finally, I have a veritable mountain of awesome fic to get to that has piled up in the past few days! Not too bad, if I might say so myself.

It's all about positive thinking! I'm taking a nonverbal communications class and studies have shown that if you hold your face in an approximation of an emotion for ten seconds or longer, you start to fell that emotion (so if you smile you start feeling happy, because it triggers a sense memory. Or you feel happy because you feel ridiculous and giggle at yourself, either one). /random hippy ramblings
