Augh, woke up waaaaay too early from a dream that Sam and Dean got separated AGAIN and in order to find him--and pay the bills--Sam became a stand-up comic.
NGL, it was pretty badass. He had everyone in the bar joining in for all of his catchphrases, which was especially talented considering he was just up there talking about his life as a hunter.

This is what addicts do I totally made this analogy in another post in regards to Sam and Dean's behavior (Sam's control issues/Dean's handling of Amy) - you self-sabotage and go back to comfortable behaviors becasue it's what you know.
flist has all but convinced me to watch those recorded eps. of Suits

Now that I say that, the whole "all the bottoms with nary a top in site" explains a lot about the Winchester motivations....

Honestly, I don't really blame Dean for what he did. One, she was a monster who proved she would kill, even if it's for the "right reasons". And, really, Sammy's monster-girls have a way of coming back to bite them in the ass, so I think Dean's brain was probably thinking that this is for his brother's own good. Do I think he was stupid to kill the mother in front of the son, but let the son go after he TOLD Dean that, um, yeah, no Dean is SO not the only person he's going to kill? Yeah. Sorry. Do I think that he's a little damaged? Yes. Most def. Do I think he's damaged for killing the monsters he's been raised to hunt? No. My opinion. *shrugs*

But, right now, how CAN Dean trust Sam? I mean, he's got the devil right. there. Dean knows what hell can do to a person, and he's scared that Sammy really isn't the one driving right now, and even if he is, if he's being infuenced at all. He's just doing what he's always done: Protecting Sammy. Going about it in a even more trust-breaking way, but still. Can you blame him for that?
