Last night was possibly the best first midnight showing experience I could have ever hoped to have. The friend I was driving in with told me she was going as Bellatrix at the last minute, so I went FUCK IT, and went as Trelawney.

I JUST GOT BACK FROM SEEING IT OMGGGG.

I got choked up at all the parts that choked me up in the book, but I was completely blindsided by how upset I was when Voldemort died. My emotions were so I-DON'T-KNOW-WHAT-MY-EMOTIONS-ARE-DOING that I got upset the BADDEST BADDIE EVER was dead? But I guess it makes sense. He was the iconic villain of a good 11 years of my life, and now he's gone for good. AVADA KEDAVRA MY CHILDHOOD, etc etc.

It occurs to me that the fact that Voldemort literally disintegrated in front of our eyes was possibly a little too metaphorical for me to handle.
