this is my only harry potter icon, somehow

Just bought my tickets to Harry Potter. It's not the Imax, it's not even 3D, but it is my very first midnight showing. I'm torn between wondering about what the hell sort of costume I can throw together in three days and watching this vid on repeat trying to gulp back this ache in the back of my throat.

Ack my face...why is it so wet?

I have my midnight showing tickets too! I've been to all of the midnight showings except for Deathly Hallows Part 1 because I was snowed in. It was very lame.

Oh jeez, sorry bb *mops up your face*

I'm excited but at the same time--there are reasons I haven't gone before, like: it's an hour's drive away, so midnight plus two hours plus another hour driving home means I won't see my bed until maybe three AM? But the other reason (bigger reason) is that I'm...kind of worried I'll be let down by the hype. Because I've heard all these great things about midnight showings, but everything is a little bit lamer in Alaska in regards to pop culture. So I HOPE that it will be awesome and everyone there will be at LEAST as dorky as me! *fingers crossed*

Haha! I'm sure it'll be great because only like legit fans are crazy enough for midnight showings. I took my Harry Potter blanket to like the fourth one..I think. My sister swore she would be embarrassed by me, but everyone that it was so cool and wanted to know where I got it.

Oh god. It's 1 in the morning and i'm officially citing that as my reason for not watching this yet but the real reason is I'm not sure if my heart could take it ;____;

I'm not as big a fan as some of my mates are (some of them went to camp for the premiere), but every time I think that it's the last movie, my throat tightens up. Tickets for a showing on the day have been bought weeks ago...The end of an era, you know? I can't say I grew up with the books, but they still took me far and away and I loved them, so. It's going to be hard and I'm probably going to cry my eyes out. Heh.

The theater I'm going to has midnight showings starting every two minutes after midnight until three in the morning--they know how to cater to a need. But ugh, my heart already hurts. *holds you close*

harry potter is never over. its the beauty of books and films we can always watch or read it again and again. and he will always live on in our hearts, those of us who were THAT AGE when it all got started. I remember bawling when Dumbledore died, and worse I was the first one in the house to read it so I couldnt even cry to anyone. I checked my mail for months hoping for that damn letter. harry potter lives on in us, in our sense of wonder, in the fact that I still believe in magic, damnit! *hug*
