Augggggh. Is finale week OVER YET. I'm not sure I can take much more of this. Just caught up with Castle, and oh my god, if I'd watched it the same night as H5O they would have found little bits of my brain splattered all over the walls.

As it is, I'm just back to the splitting headache I had on Monday night, thanks ~world.

I loved the Castle finale - because maybe I'm dense, but I did.not.see.that.coming! I really had no idea that they'd make Montgomery the third cop.

I didn't see it coming either, but in a way that just makes me want to SMASH THINGS because I don't think the writers saw it coming either. It feels very pulled-out-of-a-hat-at-the-last-second to me, but that could just be because I'm still scalded over H5O. *headdesk*

I actually liked that they didn't semaphore it - because it made a much bigger impact for me. I may have written a slightly windy post about what I would have liked to see them do a teeny bit differently with it, though.

Sadly I'm way out of step with H50 fandom right now - I see all the 'determined to fix it' faces out there and just can't feel that it's worth it. I'm still quite angry over the decisions the writers made in the second half of the season and the finale was pretty much most of my worst nightmares. I may get over it enough to maybe read some fic again - maybe, down the track. *sigh*

I TOTALLY did not see that coming! Montgomery completely surprised me, and broke my heart, b/c he was the awesomest boss ever. And I loved that he spent his whole life atoning for his sins, and how he sacrificed himself for Beckett & his family, although I'm dying to know who he sent the files to. I figured it would be Beckett or Castle, but neither one of them seems to have rec'd them by the funeral...

And I'm dying to know who was the shooter, if Lockwood was killed by Montgomery??? And will Beckett remember Castle's frantic declaration next season?? (My money's on NO. DAMMIT)

And OF COURSE Esposito and Ryan got it on in the back alley. Then later they went back to Lanie's place and they had a threesome. *nods* Trufax.

I was still in the wtfrudoing stage when he said goodbye to his family, kept coaching him (through shouting at the tv) to tell his wife to TAKE THE KIDS AND DRIVE, JUST DRIVE, WOMAN, DRIVE LIKE THE WIIIIIIND and that didn't happen. And then at the funeral I was distracted by the horse (I guess this is common practice at cop funerals? But I was just PONY! Whyyyy is there a pony? *facepalm* Apparently I have TV A.D.D.)

BUT OH, RYAN&ESPOSITO 4 EVAH, I MIGHT WRITE IT JUST BECAUSE I'M SO UGH UGH BLOCKED ON EVERYTHING ELSE, BLARGH.

I haven't watched "Castle" in a couple of years - but Ryan and Esposito were always my favorite, favorite thing about this show. So question - they're both so backstabbed by this but Esposito is losing his shit and Ryan keeps screaming it because he has to figure this out, he has to hear himself say it and hear his partner say it and Esposito can't handle it, turns away and Ryan grabs him, and that just makes Esposito SNAP. And he socks Ryan in the jaw and Ryan's fucking fiesty, man, grabs him shoves him even though Esposito's bigger and stronger and pins him, grabs his face and growls and Ryan just says "GO AHEAD, GO AHEAD," man, hit me, do what you gotta--and then they make out.

...did all of that happen for real on the show, except obvs for the making out bit? Did it? Because that description of that scene has me thinking about Netflixing the whole damn series just to get to that part. It sounds delicious.
