Jared stared in awe at the meat Jensen slapped on the counter.

"Is that what I think it is?" he blurted, as Jensen found a knife and started sawing at the plastic wrapping.

Jensen looked up, a teasing smile on his face, and Jared prayed he wouldn't be looking up for long, because he really didn't want that meat ruined by Jensen's blood. "Yup."

He moved closer to look over the meat on the counter. He trusted Jensen had picked out the best, and he was not let down. The steaks in front of him looked fucking delicious, and they weren't even cooked yet.

Jared immediately turned and hugged Jensen from behind as he was stretching up into the spice cabinet, ignoring the squawk Jensen let out at the surprise attack. "Thank you," he said into Jensen's shoulder. He stepped back and let Jensen turn around, but still kept him trapped in his arms. Jensen was wearing what Jared liked to call his I-love-you-even-though-sometimes-I-don't-know-why smile, which just made Jared grin back even wider.
