We're discussing Sir Gawaine and the Green Knight in my English class while i simultaneously devise ways to both break the fingers of the guy behind me loudly flicking his straw, and how to fling Stephen Fry's reasoning at the Prof and run away before i get in trouble. Ahem.

Hahaha it's just the structure of the poem. Big part plus cute little section. XD

All I remember is party+scary dude+cutting off head+fail+more fail+Gaiwan-is-a-somewhat-noble-idiot.

I HOPE THIS HAPPENS IN CANON. IF THEY CAN'T GIVE US MERLIN/ARTHUR THE LEAST THEY CAN DO IS MAKE GAWAINE KISS A KING.

"Womanizing pig"? I'm... sorry. Did she... did she even READ the poem? Who trained this woman? I HAVE STRONG WORDS I'D LIKE TO SAY TO HER. I'D NEED A WHITE BOARD, AND A RED MARKER, AND THE POEM. THE WOMAN SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO TEACH.

APPARENTLY, it's not so much in the poem as in the Common Knowledge of Gawaine, so that the original audience for the poem would've been going *snerk* Gawaine has to be chaste? BWAHAHAHA.

It'd be like if someone told you Chad was a contestant on Temptation Island.
