So.

So once upon a time I got an LJ under the misaprehension that i needed one in order to read the entires on m15m, a completely innocent site spoofing movies. Around the same time, one of my BFFs moved a good six hours drive away to go to college, and i suggested that she and I use LJ to keep in touch. Turns out facebook and email worked better for ( Read more... )

I know! I was so happy when I found a fellow fandom friend IRL :)

But then I took the next (nerve-wracking) step and told my secret to a close friend who doesn't have an interest in fics of any sort. She just hmmm'd and did the Spock equivalent of saying "fascinating." And that was that!

LOL I guess that is better than disownment! ;D I can see the reactions of my other BFFs quite clearly: Shock, Dismay, and "But--they're brothers!"

This might be the best conversion story I've ever heard. I have a friend (a guy whose married to another guy) and the husband says to me "you write little stories about people on the Internet right? You should write some Kyle XY, Kyle was so dating that one guy. And the Jonas Brothers, cuz how gay are they?" And I said "Did you just turn to me during dinner and ask me to write you some Jonas Brothers porn?" Enjoy the slow burn that is corrupting your friend - it's a delicious ride ( ... )

Ohhhh man! And JoBros is no little foray into slash--that right there is a) gay b) underage c) incest! XD I think you win.

P.S. Did you see The Losers? I liked it MUCH better as far as gang-o-brothers-blowing-shit-up movies go. But the A-Team was okay. I never did see the series, so i had to ask after if "Pity the Fool" came from A-Team or if they were just ripping off Snickers ads. *hides in shame of age* I'd say if you're worried about shattering your childhood slash fantasy, go see The Losers instead. There's plenty of slash in that flick too. ;D

Yeah, right? The rest of that story is - I told the guy "No, The Jonas Brothers aren't douchey enough for me. I like douchebags." and proceeded to talk about Chad Michael Murrary. After my company left, I thought "mmm, Chad," and went to check one LJ where the poster talks about Chad a lot. And guess what her lastest post told me - "Nick Jonas is such a douchebag, I think I'm in love". I was slightly weirded out by the entirety of the evening and the fact that I now have to write Kyle XY slash for my high school bffs husband.

The Losers! Omg, I keep saying it - best movie going experience since Star Trek and Zombieland. Holy fricking crap dude. Jeffrey and Chris Evans and whoever that guy is who played Cougar. It was so much fun with the explosions and the guns and the hothothot. And funny too.

Only made better by how much JDM loves this movie.

He is so happy!

I still can't decide what to do about The A-Team.
