But Klu, homemade pie crust is the BEST! It's worth every painstaking moment, trust me; that's a family tradition in my house. It's easy as...well, you know.

But it's not just MAKING the crust--i'd have to buy all the ingredients which i might never use again, plus bowls, beaters, rolling pins etc. and i don't NEED these things while studying abroad! D:

I think i've made up my mind to buy a freaking pie tin. And so premade crust. But i'm not happy about it. :P

Jeez, I'm being nosy. But why don't you resell it to a culinary arts student of something before you leave. They might be happy to score stuff they need cheap.

Lol, no i didn't--it wasn't so much the cost of the pumpkin as it was shipping. Shipping actually cost more than the two cans combined. And it's not just MAKING the crust--i'd have to buy all the ingredients which i might never use again, plus bowls, beaters, rolling pins etc. and i don't NEED these things while studying abroad! D:

*headdesk* Tomorrow, we shall see. DUNDUNDUUUH

Two words hun: pastry blender.

It's a little hand device with a whole bunch of wires arranged in a half circle. I had idea these things existed until a co-worker got one for me. And then pointed out that we sell them.

But yeah, get a pastry blender and go nuts. I used to loathe making pie crust, cutting in the butter with a fork. *shudder*

I'm thinking I should attempt a tourtiere. =9
