So this week I went to Adelaide and came back. Let me tell you something about the drive to Adelaide from Melbourne - it is long (8-9 hours), flat, and full of sheep. Like. Nothing for kms upon kms but fields and paddocks of sheep. And sometimes cows or horses. And once, llamas. But mostly sheep. I think by the time we got there I had almost driven ( Read more... )

My sister and I drove 7 hours for a concert once and most of it was through Kentucky, which was nothing but flat fields. No hills, no animals, nothing but fields. Except we did see where they were growing pod people not far outside one of the military bases, but my brothers didn't believe me. It was one of the most boring rides EVER, especially since we had to come straight home after the concert and Harley slept the whole way.

Boo for being sick and evil alpacas, but yay for pandas and marmosets! And for your house!! Building a house is exciting and you should take lots of pictures as it goes up! It'll be something awesome to have to look back on if nothing else!

Hopefully you managed to finish your spring fling, lol. :)

Pod people? Well, that sounds pretty awesome to me. Did you see Mulder or Scully? Or at least one of the Winchesters? :D

I am totally not cut out for long drives. Especially not long deathflu drives. Was the concert worth it thought?

We're going to try to take lots of pictures for sure. And I DID get my spring fling in on time, but really only just.

We always look for Winchesters when we road trip, but sadly have never found them. One day, though!

We live in the middle of nowhere (although, we are the center of our corner of nowhere, lol - we are the biggest city for hours and hours around!) so everything exciting is a long drive. The concert was totally worth it. It was the Blink reunion tour thingy a couple years back, so we got Blink 182 (complete with Mark and Tom being ridiculous, and Travis's magic flying drum kit) and Pete Wentz fanboying them, and Fall Out Boy, and Panic. And I got fangirl time. So it was a win. :)

I can't even venture to guess which Spring Fling fic is yours (I know one author, lol, and that's only because I beta'd for her) but I can say it was awesome because I pretty much loved all the fics in the exchange. ♥

BECKBECK.

I'm sorry you were sick while on vacation :( Glad you started feeling better after the meds. Also, that is SOME DRIVE. But the animals on the way sound so funny. You guys have llamas hahahaha! So cool. And alpacas! They do sound kind of vicious, despite their funny appearance. PANDAS. FINGER MONKEYS. Finger monkeys sound so strange! What if they hid in your backpack? That would be frightening. Or nice.

HOUSE. How've the first few days been so far? That's so exciting! You should take a picture a day at the same time each day so you can have a video/slideshow of how it was made! Then you will always remember and it'll be like you've been there from its birth to its...end? :D

OMG SPRING FLING. Are you still writing? I am. In between a friend's wedding prep appointments, I'm running back home to my computer. OMG. Challenges. Can't wait to read them all though. That's what getting me through. Good luck, dear!

LOVE BACK.
