My fucking football team just lost and I'm in a bad mood. I know that's pathetic, but we had won 26 out of our last 29 games and I had KIND of forgotten what losing felt like. For the record? It feels SHITTY.
I am distracting myself with pictures, so have a Beckspam! Not as exciting as a PJspam, granted, but I'm working with what I've got, here.

Guess what's my favourite colour. GUESS. )

I had a notebook like that, too. It was mostly during my Band of Brothers phase, with a lot of it being taken up by musings about Liebgott and Webster and the complicated relationship dynamics they have.
I CAN'T WAIT FOR YOUR BRAD/RAY.
I will get on with writing my own, if I can tear myself away from the cast album of "American Idiot" long enough. STARK SANDS, YOUR VOIIIIIICE.

I owe LJ about 2 million posts. I've been so sparse lately, even though there's so much to tell.

Yeah, you totally need somewhere scribble down your crazy fannish thoughts when you get the urge while, eg, standing in line at the bank like I was the other day. Heh.
I'm working on my Brad/Ray as much as I can! ...actually, no, I'm procrastinating by being online and posting pictures of Ray at we_pimpin and, like, replying to comments. But. I'm sure I'll get it done eventually :D
Staaark. He's so adorable.

I love the notebook. I have a million and one of those things. My sister's old boss always sends the little 30 page recycled paper notebooks, and I have like a dozen of them all filled with snippets and shit. It's kind of obscene in a porny sort of way.
I'm so excited for the Brad/Ray I can barely stand it, bb.
I lolled at your Brad/Walt gaff. <33333333 You're so adorkable.

Hee, like little army of porny notebooks. I love it.
And the Brad/Ray would be a lot closer if I didn't, for instance, open the word document then go on LJ for an hour without writing a thing. SIGH.
All I can say about the drabble thing is *facepalm* UGH.

Re: the journal - There's something so wholesome about handwritten porn. And 11,000 words - eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I can't wait to read it!
Other fandoms GK would work with - Firefly (and that little bit is awesome. I love Walt on the big guns, what what); uh, Kitchen Confidential; the Killer Angels (Nate calls being Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain, for reals, yo); CSI: Matilda; etc.

Nate - inevitably Chamberlain.
Brad - Buford. Definitely.
Ray - Umm...I feel like if Pickett and JEB Stuart had a smack-talkin' baby.
Walt - Baby! Chamberlain.
Etc. etc.
At some point in high school, I also wrote a musical about James Longstreet.

Wholesome, uh huh. Except for how furtive I feel about writing scenes where Walt's coming all over Ray's face, while, say, sitting next to a little old lady on the train. Eeek.
Firefly works well because they can basically fit right into all their roles except, like, in space. CSI: Matilda just about killed me, man. Ray would be the weird tech guy who always stays at the lab and makes creepy eyes at cop!Walt. Hee.

and losing DOES fucking suck (god i've hardly ever felt so low as when france lost the last world cup :/), but with a record like that.. it's barely a dent!
if i went in your store and saw that shelf, i'd immediately HAVE TO KNOW who recommended those books! like, do some investigative work to see which employ it is :p
you write by hand?! color me super, SUPER impressed! that is so tough to do, esp with edits, but so...elegant. and, excuse the pretentious term, organic. i LOVE to read stories written by hand, but when does that ever happen anymore? they feel all that much more real, ya know what i mean? that's so cool. keep it up bb, you're totally a natural writer :D

And, hee, I 've got a sign on one copy of GK that says "Ask Beck why this is her favourite book and TV series!" I...haven't had any takers, yet :( Sad.
I write by hand but only because I am sometimes ~gripped by inspiration~~ and have to get it down right then or I'll forget. But you're right, there's something pleasantly old-fashioned and classic about it, and being able to flick through and see all the individual ink strokes that make up my story is pretty nice.
*hugs you foreeeeeveeeeerrrrr* &hearts &hearts
