I too feel the exact way you feel in this post. It's hard in this economy when you have no money and they keep pushing Christmas down people's throats. (Here's the perfect gift to buy!) Some years it's always the thought that counts and it's spending time with your family and friends. I think that's the best Christmas present!

It does seem like ads push buying gifts (and some stores claim to have the perfect gifts) down people's throats. They do not talk about the thoughts behind the gift; it is mainly a money-making thing.
