Fic: Cross Country, Part One

I need a kick, so I'll just post a teaser and y'all can kick me to finish the rest! I am writing, but it's not the same with NaNoWriMo and Yuletide over (sigh...)

Hey, y'know what this series needs? Some cover art! Or maybe an icon. Anybody want to make a nice OTPx2 manip for Team Ellison?

I've really enjoyed your Criss-Cross series and am happy to see another installment starting up.

Clearing out the Daedalus made for some fascinating descriptions. Rodney was so, um, so Rodney in his determination to get that console out intact. I'm also always thrilled when mini-Jack shows up in a story - having him aged via a Wraith feeding was a really clever touch.

Looking forward to more as you're able to post it.

Thanks for the kick! I'm glad you're enjoying it so far. I'm just a little ways into the next couple of scenes, which are a pain, but after that I'll get to more action stuff, and I always have fun writing that!

Oh, another Criss-Cross story in the works! I'm so glad. I like the world you've built, and I want to see more of it. The differences between this Atlantis and canon are fascinating.

Lots of interesting technical details on the Daedalus salvage and Ancient space suits. It felt very real, the slow and difficult and weird task - salvaging a ruined spaceship full of corpses. Who would be prepared for that?

I'll be glad to see more whenever you have it ready.

I thought the wrecked ship had lots of possibilities -- for stories as well as for salvage. The next part is being a pain to write, but I'm slogging through it slowly. Then I should get to some more exciting stuff, which will go faster. Thanks for the comments!

Thanks! I should be getting on with this one instead of writing detours, I suppose...

Hooray for this storyline! I hadn't heard of the Sentinel until I read your stories, and now I'm curious. I'm looking forward to more of your stories - this one and the Skew Lines, and whatever else tickles your fancy.

Thanks, I'm glad you're liking it! Sentinel's a good fandom -- a cheesy show, sometimes, but lots of slash potential. I gotta get back to work on this stuff, instead of getting distracted by other ideas.

Well, if getting distracted means you write stuff for Skew Lines, then feel free to continue. I haven't been disappointed with anything yet. Cheers,

I'm working on more. Really. In between all the other disasters taking up my time. But I do hope to have something ready to go in a month or so!
