Spring is taking a heck of a time to get itself on the move over here in the UK, but the birds of the air (and water) and beasts of the field seem pretty keen to get on with things despite all that! Have a few photos ...

These are Great Crested Grebes and they shake their feathery heads about to show interest in each other

Spring isn't exactly running to get here in the States, either. >:( Though I suppose March winds (in April) is a good sign.

They were little characters; one wouldn't stop making penguin noises at bf. We think he must look like the person who feeds them.

Thank you very much for these pictures! Oh, the Great Crested Grebes are a symbol of the area I live in! They are rare here and I love their typical heads. Their mating is a real dance.
The penguins are cute - we can see them here only in the ZOO.
I hope we will also have spring here soon...in the meantime it is still snowing and freezing and no sunshine:-(
