I was woken at 5.30 this morning but what I can only say was a cat screaming on the other side of my room. I got up to see what had happened and found one of my cats (Molly) had got her claws stuck in the grille on the side of my computer. It was honestly one of the scariest things I have ever seen. A First Class fic I haven't read? SAY IT AIN'T SO.

It sounds like I'm lucky not to have read any Marvel (I used to watch the horrendously campy cartoon for Gambit). I'm glad you enjoyed Erik and Charles' epic romance, though. UGH, THOSE TWO. It also pleases me how much Fassbender and McAvoy seem to like each other in real life. Have you read the interview where... um, either McAvoy or Fassbender talks about the scene in which Charles and Erik go to recruit Angel?

I'm sorry about your kitty :( That sounds awful. Glad she's okay now, though. I wish her a speedy recovery! ♥

Oh you are so lucky to have not read a lot of Marvel because this film has polluted it (except the sparkly man love). And hey I loved the 90's cartoon, it was pretty much my life when I was a child! It made me fall helplessly in love with Gambit and Rogue...no wonder I've been consistently disappointed in my love life since before it existed. I do not think I have read the interview about recruiting Angel. Explain? (That scene...so gay.)

Have you seen Becoming Jane? Between his eyes and Anne Hathaway's it was like an eye-fucking extravaganza.

I haven't seen Becoming Jane, no. It didn't seem like the kind of thing I'd be interested in so I never gave it a look. I may now though...for obvious reasons.

His eyes...it's like someone cut up little pieces of blue sky and stuck them in his eyelids. Ugh, attractive boy.

So sorry to hear about your cat's distressing experience :S That sounds awful! The poor creature. Well done you for getting her out, even if your palm had to suffer.

And yay for some bright spots in First Class. I have heard that Charles and Magneto are magificent together. I have such a thing for Michael Fassbender so I'm pleased to hear he's getting his time in the mainstream spotlight. I'm glad you've found a fabulous fandom to sink into.

Yeah, the kitty fiasco was a lot scarier in RL than it seems here. I was mostly terrified she was going to rip her nails out, which for a cat is a big freaking deal since they contain blood vessels :S But thank you for your words dearie, she is better now :)

I wouldn't say Erik/Charles was a bright spot for First Class...more like a glorious sparkling rainbow. you should certainly give the movie a watch if you get a chance...if only for those two because they really are shining beacons amidst the dredges. I do love that feeling when you have a new fandom you just wanna roll round in XD

I look forward to birthday cake and tea with you as well. It's going to be awesome!
