[Finnick flicks the communicator on and turns it to video. He uses it to capture the Welcomer’s retreating back before he swings it around to himself. Blue eyes look out of a grimy face and he’s primed for combat

You're in fake London. [ Oh, he's pretty, he's very pretty. ] Hi.

[fourthtrident]

Fake where? [he turns his smile up a notch to make her feel like she's the only girl he's ever going to notice.]

And how did I get here?

[lessproud]

London, you know, capital of England and all.

[ She's trying very hard not to blush, okay? ] Nobody knows, it just happens.

[fourthtrident]

England. [Finnick thinks hard. It was mentioned somewhere, in the history books along with America]

Got it. Is there anyone called Annie, Katniss or Snow here?

[ Katniss recognises the voice first, and then the face, bringing the strange communicator up to get a closer look.

A part of her is relieved to see someone familiar, but she's also afraid that it might mean something bad if someone from the Capitol is here. ]

I know you. You're Finnick Odair. You won the Games all those years ago.

[fourthtrident]

Katniss, less of all those years ago, I'm still very handsome. [Finnick's voice is filled with a relief and then he looks more closely at her.]

Did the Capitol give you a whole body lift to make you look younger.

[tookherplace]

Younger? [ She glances down at herself, not vainly, but baffled, creases etching themselves into her forehead in a way that no teenager should possess. ] And you - you know my name?

[ None of this makes sense. She never quite made it to the Capitol never mind the arena, and she finds it difficult to think that he would remember her name from the reaping alone. ] This is the Capitol playing some sort of trick, isn't it?

Katniss [he frowns] What is the last thing you remember?

The Capitol is definitely playing a cruel trick on one of us.

Because a name like that is completely normal.

There is no where in Panem called it.

Look if I'm in another world, no matter how inplausible it is that I've got here? There should be a Katniss or an Annie or I need to get home right now before they are both killed.

[He's happy to see you too buddy. All the reports had suggested he was dead. It sounded like Cinna rather than a mutt. There is a very happy grin.]

Same [There is some emotion in Finnick's voice and then worry] Why, what's wrong here?
