The farmer's market was the first of the season, so it was nice to pretend that summer was here. Unfortunately it rained on the market (lightly, in true Seattle style) so it was a difficult illusion to maintain. XD

Ironically if my garden does well, I won't need the farmer's market when real summer gets here. XD *crosses fingers*

I wish I'd had my camera. This guy used to be a chef and his food is therefore truly worthy of the food_porn group. In this case, true BBQ ribs, slow cooked with oak and mesquite. *drools slightly*

*keyboard becomes wet with saliva* I make a spicy peanut honey rib with a combination of styles. I dry rub for two days prior, adding more spices through out the process. Spicy first so that it really soaks into the texture of the meat, sweet later so that it hits you tongue first and really lets you adhere to the quality. Then i wrap them up in tin foil and put 'em out on the grill for three hours so that the juices saturate and tenderize the meat. Once thats done, I add another dry coating and drizzle honey all over them bad boys. They go out naked this time so that the honey forms a nice crunchy top coats and makes them ribs form for a clean cut. If they fall off the bone the presentation isn't as nice. Turn constantly for about another hour and you have some beautiful ass kicking ribs.

Do we need to find you some sort of 12-step crafting program?

I can quit anytime I want to! I just don't want to!

Seriously, after observing my own behavior for the past 20 years or so, I'm guaranteed to be obsessed with at least one craft hobby at any given time. The particular craft changes every six months or so, but the base addiction remains. XD

That's it. If you're not at all available that weekend when you're down here, I'm sending you my quilting book, because god knows I fail at cutting that many straight lines.

Sounds like a really good weekend!

XD I agree, straight lines suck.

I should be able to see you the weekend after that, if you're around. :)
