“My man is waiting”.
Without saying anything aloud, Nakamaru and Kame looked at each other and instantly knew what would follow.
They would stalk Tatsuya, of course.
After all, Tatsuya openly professing ‘my man is waiting for me’ was like an open invitation.
As well as, if Kame and Nakamaru were to ever describe Tatsuya, then first would be how childish he got at times. But moreso, stoic, serious and sometimes scary would be a solid second, third and fourth in mind.
And yet;
And yet, this stoic man was oozing pink while on the phone with ‘his man’.
Which is why like any good nosy best friends, Nakamaru and Kame telepathically decided it their true duty to trail Tatsuya like a shadow to his rendezvous.
By the time they got to the park, the sunset in early summer was of a warm diluted orange - perfect for a twilight date.
Unnoticeably, they continued to stalk Tatsuya who, as soon as he turned the corner of lush deep purple and pink hydrangea flowers, a pair of long hands pulled him and tucked them away behind a broad tree. At the sudden action, Kame and Nakamaru gasped with Nakamaru grabbing hold of Kame’s hands, both running to where Tatsuya was, fearing for their friend’s life.
But;
They suddenly stopped when in clearer view, they saw Tatsuya pinned to a tall fellow who was braced against the tree with long arms wrapped around each other in a hug - a hug so tight that it left Tatsuya’s feet barely touching the ground. And they were kissing - not a chaste touch of tongue and lips, but a deep, long, loud and greedy kiss. Nakamaru and Kame covered their mouths when pleasure noises and lip smacking reached their ears. Nakamaru blushed. And Kame seemed turned on.
“I’ve missed you”, the man said, still keeping Tatsuya close to him. His back was towards the sun, but Tatsuya’s face sparks rays of light when he giggled and said, “you saw me yesterday”.
The man abruptly bent his head and chewed a kiss off Tatsuya’s lips, “that’s hardly enough”, he replied, sighing while he half-jokingly said, “I suspect I’m obsessed with you, Uepi, because like food, I want you morning, day and night. You feel the same way too, right?”
Tatsuya wrinkled his face with a frown but then tipped on his toes and damped a peck on the man’s neck, “I love you more than food, Junno”.
Junno laughed.
From their angle, Kame and Nakamaru couldn’t see Junno’s face, but the pleased sound of this man’s voice travelled high pitched and floated at the gleeful receive of Tatsuya’s words to him.
It wasn't long after that the sunset waned and the world dimmed in twilight. And as the light faded, they held each other in another embrace - tight and tender like Tatsuya fully belonged to him, the way Junno leaned across and pressed a kiss to the temple of Tatsuya’s head and then on both his cheeks - kisses that this time were chaste, prolonged and sweet. And while Tatsuya blushed like a maiden, Nakamaru and Kame were smiling, glad their dear friend had found love again.
“Let’s go”, Nakamaru suggested, as he rose to his feet.
“Yeah. We’ll seek out Junno’s face on another day”.
Mushy with feels, Nakamaru replied, “yep, we should allow the two lovelies to get on with their date at twilight”.
But then they heard;
“Want to go to a hotel?” - Tatsuya’s voice.
“Let’s go to my apartment, instead” - Junno’s voice.
“I can’t wait that long” - Tatsuya's voice.
“Then want to do it here in the park?”
At that instant, all the blood in Nakamaru’s body surged to his face.
And Kame suddenly felt twitches in his groin.
Tatsuya laughed, an echo that was somewhat devious and knowing.
Hide as they might or try as they might to scamper away, he'd seen them all along.
