Pffft that's ridiculous! In Tennessee you get a significant insurance discount for taking driving classes but it's not required. I'm sure that's well-intentioned and all but what a lot of fucking money to have to spend just to get a license, dear God ( ... )

Yeah, here are our laws for drivers under 18, which my sister will have to deal with when she goes for her license. They also have to take an additional knowledge test after they pass their on-the-road test.
And this is sorta OT but it always bothers me that state governments can find the time to impose these kinds of stupid restrictions on everyone but they can't require something as simple as getting people over the age of 70 to take a driving test every year to get their license renewed, so technically a 99 year old who can barely see anything can operate a vehicle legally
I get what you mean, but I guess it's assumed that anyone who's legally blind wouldn't drive anyway. Which is problematic in and of itself, but.....yeah. :PPPP
