I'm not overly fond of my family -- to put it bluntly, my mom is white trash and my dad is bipolar and flies off the handle constantly over the smallest things. My sisters are alright, but the oldest one is incredibly self-absorbed, flaky, and irresponsible. My husband is always telling me that I need to quit spending time with my family and worrying about what they think all of the time, and hopefully leaving my hometown will help in that regard ( ... )

I'm really sorry to hear all of that. D: I hope you get a chance to move away soon; my family isn't nearly as bad as yours sounds (except maybe for my mom's mother), but one of these days (hopefully in the near future) I also need to start living my own life and stop worrying about what they think. That's interesting. My husband is really into astronomy/astrophysics. Back when we were living at my friend's dad's apartment, we used to swipe his telescope and drive out to Natchez Trace and stargaze. My eyesight is pretty bad so I always have trouble with it. Recently we drove out there and Antony was trying to point out nebula and constellations to me but I had a hard time seeing them :(
