Actually, I'm ridiculously easy when it comes to Doctor/Master...they're having a nice UST-y scene with bondage involved? FUCK PLOT. FUCK CONTEXT. I am SO COMPLETELY there.
I think I read somewhere that Moffat doesn't want to deal with the Time Lords either? I dunno. I think they're a great tool for understanding the Doctor - ie, why he ran away and what he's rebelling against; and to show the danger of what he could become - but I can also see them becoming a reset button: 'oh, if the Doctor breaks this or that law of Time then don't worry; the Time Lords will just come in and fix it.'
The Master, though...yeah. >:) A universe without both him and the Doctor scarcely bears thinking about. Rusty'll probably try to kill him off in the finale, but that man is the original bad penny...at least with him, we know death is only a temporary inconvenience. :)

Both the Tenth Doctor and the DoctorDonna end up in Time Lord land (possibly the Matrix). Possibly also the Master (who will later bust out, of course).
Wilf gets to clock the Master. (I thought he was going to shoot the Doctor, but after the commentary on pt 1 I think that's highly unlikely!)
Donna = Phoenix. (Dark would be very acceptable.)
Master preserves Donna to breed a race of GINGER UBERMENSCH.
Master sets things on fire, glues things together, etc.
Master goes into Doctor's mind to find TARDIS location, Doctor goes into Master's mind and is struck by flying Dalton spittle.
Fandom throws itself on its horse and rides madly off in all directions.
I may very well be the only person in all of fandom to say this, but my hope is that whatever else the reset does, it brings back Adelaide. She's tough and smart and competent and more importantly, she's the only companion who saw the full implications of Ten's hubris. I want her off that pile of bodies. I realize she's doomed to be a one-off never to be mentioned again, but I loved her.

Woman! Five years of Rusty's writing and you still haven't learned?

Because the universe is more interesting with both in it.
