stressful day at the vet's

is raining today, so miyuki and i both got spit upon walking to the vet's (me walking; her being chauffeured in her carrier in my wheelie cart - apparently the towel i put over the cart didn't help quite as much as it might). then we had to wait while the vet was pulling a dog's teeth, but the way the vet tech told me about it, it sounded like

Zit Face aka Frank was treated to the luxury of a home visit (no more expensive than a taxi). He was so blase about the whole thing he never even bothered to get out of his doggie bed. (Tim OTOH slunk into the back room, quivering.)

inappropriate urination, at first; and subsequently consistent protein and crystals in her urinalysis tests.

weirdly enough, they think she might have interstitial cystitis, which is what i've got - and which neither of us had before we moved out here (i also never had acid reflux, crohn's symptoms, or asthma before i moved out here). personally, i think it's the vancouver water treatment; ie some hellishly corrosive chemical they use...the tap water here tastes like a fucking swimming pool. >:P
