None for ages, and then two come along at once, as we headed to Dulwich Picture Gallery again yesterday for the Amazing World of M C Escher exhibition. Expecting it to be popular we had pre-booked and it was busy, though manageably so. Gosh - I had realised of course that the plot and sets for Doctor Who's Castrovalva are distinctly Escheresque, but I am embarrassed not to have realised before now that it is actually the name of one of his drawings! Oops, and thanks for clearing that up. I don't think I've ever seen any of his work in real life and in full detail, but I can very well imagine how rewarding it must be. Glad to hear that you enjoyed in.

Yes, of course the first time I watched it (back in 1982!) I didn't know or see any references, but on rewatching they are all over the place. Dulwich is a bit of a trek but if you have an excuse to visit London I would certainly recommend it - the exhibition runs until January.
