Apparently I'm not the kind of person people actually want to be friends with. At first I play it cool and aloof. Occasionally, someone sees through that to my quirky sense of humour and we're friends for a little while. Then eventually they just spend time with me out of some twisted sense of duty until my usefulness wears away or my annoyingness

I have a different problem...I'm busy with school and work, and I'm unable to hang out much. Well I continue to think of friends the same way I always have...only to find out that that's not the case.
I've lost a few friends due to the fact that I don't see them that much.

I think staying in touch on FB and LJ is good, I love being able to do that...but some people apparently don't think the same >.>

I think you are likable...you are just kinda far away. :P

I appreciate the presents you've made for Gawain and I over the years, and the occasional middle-of-the-night grocery shopping has been fun. And let's face it, I did a bad job for about 5 years of undergrad when it came to me holding up my end of present, parties and showing up to events. recently I thought about how awkward it would be for me to get married because I would never know who to invite. Guests would have no clue what to get me...and my wedding party would be...small...

However if this is about what I think it might be about, you might be thinking along the wrong lines. Everyone can be very friendly and deserving of praise, making life far better for their friends. I know that my sarcasm and critical eye tends to make friends dread me as much as they have fun with me - luckily that means my friends know when they want to hang out and when they are just plain tired
