That is some of the most messed up shit I've ever heard of. For crying out loud, how could anyone think of that as 'feminist'?! And it's illogical in all kinds of ways! If crazy guy's dead love interest had severe endometriosis or something (because you need to have some sort of medical condition for periods to hurt so bad you can't run away from mortal danger!) she shouldn't have lasted through basic training. Seriously, wth?! Also, that's treatable and the treatment sure as hell isn't torture.
Just, wow, so horrible. I completely get why you needed to go on a rant about this. So messed up.
