My Dad's 70th birthday is in December this year, so I decided to make a quilt for him. I finished the top last night:

That's fab! You and my mum should compare quilty notes some time. :-) She's a topper like you though (which is why there are six dozen quilt tops hanging around the house...)

Actually I do finish the quilts, I just get them professionally quilted as I don't have the facilities at home to do it (not enough space, primarily!!). This one should cost around $70 to quilt, which isn't too bad really. Once they're quilted I bind and label them and then give them away as gifts. Mostly, anyway :)

I guessed the bindings even before I saw your comment as well and mine are no were near the computer as there are too many books in our book room to fit a computer!
