After watching those videos and hundreds of pictures I´m actually amazed how can he manage to keep all that stuff together. And doing it elegantly and seemingly without great effort. Controlling horse in situation like that is extremely difficult and challenging, and with a strange horse, dangerous. He has my deepest admiration and respect.
With that outfit and horse, he truly is Kenshin.

The visit to kenshin's grave and the castle (site) sounds interesting. I think there were a few glimpses on the kenshin "making of" DVD - I need to watch it again!
You're so right about G being the man for the joetsu job. NHK did not get the casting wrong, right? (er - that sounds odd but you know what I mean)
