HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

Feb 14, 2007 15:06

Warren made several stops that day during school. No notes left. No clue as to whom but when he was done, a single pink roses had been duct taped, by the stem, to the lockers of Liz, Gilly, Pollyanna and Stu.

On Eiko's was a clear plastic box. Within was a dozen white roses with pink baby's breath.

Yes, duct taped, but the flowers are not damaged

Eiko finds them, and blinks. She is completely and utterly baffled... but thinks she knows who it was.

She carries them around all day, being unusually defiant if anyone tells her to put them away or get rid of them.

Tonight she needs to do something, she now knows.

"...huh," says Liz to herself. She got anonymous flowers last year, too! Of course, there's no possible way they're from the same person, but she has no way of knowing this.

Either way, she wraps the stem of the rose in a damp paper towel--from a water fountain, by now the bathrooms are probably off limits--and sets it gently in the top of her locker to take home later.

Stu will carry his flower around all day, once he gets it off the locker. It will eventually wilt and fall apart, but he doesn't care. He will also keep the duct tape. Stu is an odd kid.

Oh my! She hasn't the faintest clue who would've left her the rose, but in any case it brings a huge smile to her face. The scent is wonderfully sweet too, and carefully untaping it from her locker, she decides that she'll carefully dry and press it for posterity after the petals have begun to turn.

"Thank you," she says mostly to herself, not seeing anyone around. "Whoever you are."
