One, aren't Harry and Neville about the same age, only a day apart? If so, Neville is one when Voldemort kills Lily and James, not two.
Two, in DH, Neville says something about Death Eaters going after his gran, but she gets away. You include so much else that I'm surprised you didn't include that.
You're right, of course. I took a few liberties with canon, mainly because I wanted to see Frank and Alice's reaction to Neville's non-magical tendencies (and though two is seemingly a little early for displays of magic, one is just unrealistic).
When I wrote this, I had only read Deathly Hallows very quickly in preparation for an interview the next day, and I must say that I completely glossed over the part about Augusta and the Death Eaters. I would have included it, you're right, but it was just forgetfulness on my part!
Thanks for the comment, though. I'm glad you liked it.

So beautifully written!
You've captured the characterization of Neville's Gran so well...it pretty much seems like it could be canon!
Like, if we were to have learned more about Neville's Gran I imagine this is EXACTLY how she would be!
Very well done!
This is just perfect...absolutely perfect.
Well done! ^_^
