Beyond uncool.

I am so tired. And my parents confiscated my laptop because "it was distracting me from my schoolwork." True, yeah, but they actually came to college and took it away. I should've known better than to come to a university where my dad served as an IT guy for nearly a decade. Of course he can talk to his old buddies and find out my online usage. ( Read more... )

is this normality?, pyrebi goes to the movies, yo-ho yo-ho the college life for me, the ohio clan

Okay. That sucks. My dad's threatened to take away my internet a few times for the exact same reason, but I'm still living at home, so he'd have to deal with me throwing a fit :). Hope you get it back soon!

And yay Cream! I was watching some weird movie with my mom and "White Room" came one and I was like, Hey! That sounds like something that would be on Supernatural! So I immediately looked into it, and now I really enjoy the band.

And dude, Oregon Trail basically defined my elementary school existence. It was the only thing I looked forward too all week.I could never get past surviving a couple of days though. A lot of people claimed that they survived, but my horse kept drowning or something. And the graphics and speed of the game suck ass, but that's part of it's charm :D

Probably not 'til the end of the quarter. *unhappy sigh* Oh well, there's still library access!

Yeah, my sister's IN LOVE with "White Room."

Yes, yes, me too! I was all like "OREGON TRAIL!" all the time. It was so much fun...in that really boring way. I mean, you'd be all excited to play it, and then once the game actually started, you were like "Don't these oxen move ANY FASTER?" But as soon as you were away from it again, you craved it. And I made to Oregon a couple of times. At the very end you have to float your covered wagon down a river (!!!) and not capsize. It was hard!

Oooh, that sucks. But yay for libraries!

And I think the slowness was part of the attraction. At least for me. I was like "maybe next time the game'll actually work!" and so I got excited even though I kept on dying. For me, I kept on running out of food (I can't remember if I told you this before) so I only lasted for about three days. And did I tell you how much I hated the guides? I was like, I don't care about history!!! I want GOOOLLLDDD! XD

They took your laptop!?
You could say you're online to find info for schoolwork...
I dunno..
When do you get it back?

Oh, babe, it doesn't work like that. My dad, he's an IT guy, and can be white-hat hacker on the side. As long as he knows what network I'm using, he can tell where I've been, how long I was online, what I downloaded...frankly, it's a bit scary. I didn't even know he exercised that power on me, but obviously he does. I was in TROUBLE.

LOL Oregon Trail!

I used to give the little poeple names of kids I didn't like and then try to kill them off:)

You too? Hee! I'd start them off with one ox, 200lbs of food (the minimum) and no ammo. Then I'd set their portions to bare-bones and their pace to grueling. Then I'd just watch 'em die. "Yeah, that's right, Jeff, die of cholera! Bwahahaha!"

Dude, I'd freak right out if my mom took away my computer! Thankfully she's knows so little about computers she doesn't even like to get near them. lol.

I remember Organ Trail, though I never got the chance to play it.
