Heartbreakingly good. I so wanted her to be able to find out the truth, to share her grief with Sam, but it was much more realistic and powerful for her to not know, and for that grief to turn into hate. It's so sad to see her have to go through the ups and downs of the boys getting captured and escaping. Very realistic, and very touching.

Here from barkley's rec, and wow, just ouch. That hurt a lot, but I love that you didn't pull any punches. Jess's mom reacting like this is just so damn believable.

I never realized that, of course a medical examiner would have questioned that slit in Jess' belly, and Sam's abrupt departure would raise a red flag, of course! What an original story, and excellently written, too! BRAVO! Love, Robin
