A Martini and Hat Party

In celebration of the impending arrival of my new hat, and in recognition of the poor fact that it’s been a long time since I last threw a martini party, on Friday evening I’ll be throwing a Martini and Hat Party. Consider this a formal RSVP for me and one fem-bot guest.

Mr. Bond will be wearing formal wear and a hat and his Bond-girl will be wearing a slinky black dress and 1930's era chapaeux.

And finally I have a use for those two bottles of Vermouth that are all that remains of my once envious liquor cabinet! I also have Green Olives up the Wazoo.

Are there any books you would like to accompany me and stay as invited guests for a while?

Hmmm, I can't think of any books off the top of my head. Did I mention some earlier? If so, bring those. :) And don't forget to take the Halevi book I borrowed!

Plus, I'm leaving the country in less than two weeks, so your books would have to be really, really invited.

There are two problems with drinking gibbons:

1. It's hard to find a cocktail glass large enough for a gibbon; and
2. Even when you do find a glass large enough, they keep jumping out.
