So, the Religious Hatred Bill will still go for Royal Assent, but altered to remove 'insulting' language from the list of offences. Especially pleasing is the fact that Blair didn't bother to vote in the second bit, and lost by one vote!

Judaism doesn't prosyletise, and traditionally discourages conversion.

Everything I hear about the Jewish people and their faith makes me want to become Jewish. Inclusivity, compassion, recognising that individual faith is not uniform and so picking and choosing is acceptable. The Hewbrew language is beautiful, and I'd forever be talking in a New Yoik-Jewish accent. But I still can't get my head around the God thing. As much as I envy people who believe, I just can't put 100% faith in His existence.

You have my word though that, the moment it should happen, I'll be turning to Judaism, should they have me.
