i figured it out! here it is, my final project in all its glory. we had to pick an issue of inequaliy and write an essay on it after spring break, then make a 5-10 minute film for the final project. i did sexism against female olympic athletes. here it is (make sure you have the volume on your computer up all the way!):

went to the advising meeting, registered for classes, had breakfast for the first time here (not counting brunch on weekends). i got the classes i wanted, except the politics in cuba class. i'm 4th on the waitlist. right now the class is full with 16 people, so unless they expand the class i'm not likely to get it. oh well. maybe it will happen ( Read more... ) -

grahh i fail and now i won't get the classes i want. i forgot that before we can register for classes we have to meet with our advisers, then they sign a form online that lets you register. i was supposed to sign up for classes last night. now the earliest i can sign up is thursday morning, because my adviser had no time slots open today. for a 5 ( Read more... ) -

so, i'm thinking of getting my nose pierced. nose because i'm not sure which kind i'd rather get. a while ago i wanted to get a septum piercing but recently i've been going more towards the regular nostril kind, with a ring and not a stud like my sister has. i think it would look prettier and possibly better on me, but the septum is cooler and sort ( Read more... ) -

ahh, being a terrible jew again. passover starts tonight. my mom asked if i could come home, only if it was possible, and since i have a presentation in spanish tomorrow and that giant english essay due friday, i decided i couldn't go home. even though it would have been nice to take amtrak and have my parents pay for transportation, for a change. finally, finally went to rocky horror. got rice down my shirt. i wore a nearly nonexistent skirt! my halloween costume kind of fails because the skirt isn't working out and the rest of the costume is mainly earrings/necklace and cottony fluff on my head. oh well.
my imperialism midterm went fine i believe. whoo. -
