Möbius
An Avengers Ficlet
Characters: Loki, Thanos, Other.
Pairings: This chapter? None.
Warnings/Kinks: Loki abuse. Loki's mind is a TRAPazoid. One sided parent-child relationship.

A/N- So this fic is basically what happens when it's a slow day at work and all I have is a notepad, pen, and Lego-Loki keychain to look busy with.

I'm just loving Loki's torqued thought process here. He is a god, and thinks that way. Of course it's an altar, of course some priest provided it for him.

And if that which endures, which lives, is a god, then what are the Aesir and monsters who die where he stands alone?

Monsters are monsters, on the same level (or lower, because monsters) as mortals.

Loki's ideas about the Aesir are very strained at the moment, which is why he is both trying to avoid Asgard and feeling parental to proto-Asgardian!Steve. On the one hand, he's grown up hearing stories about falling in glorious battle only to rise and do it again -Valhalla- which something Loki has been doing his entire existence. Everyone he knows, like his Frigga and his Odin and his Thor, have always been there. And when Odin goes into Odinsleep, is that not a kind of Death? Is Odinsleep just a nice way of saying that he's visiting Hel? And Thor certainly died, or at least his mortal body did, and then he got back up... but then why would the Aesir get so upset? Loki's working theory: Royal Family of Aesir are true gods. Peon Aesir (like the guardsmen who the giants killed) are canon fodder gofers who exist to serve the royal family.

Oh god. Oh WOW. I mean seriously that's an incredible way to look at things. When your religion actually applies to and WORKS on you, of course you're going to take things a bit more seriously and be confused on other people. Plus how we normalize/judge normal according to ourselves.

It also has to be a bit of a nice thought. "I'm a real God like Father and that's maybe why he adopted me and kept me, instead of giving me away to someone else? Then maybe I have a chance of getting his Love."

You also had Loki remembering Hel, skeletal fish or something of the sort. Does he remember Valhalla when he dies in battle, assuming he stays dead long enough?

There were many things the dragur wanted. Many in quantity, but low for the most part low in quality.

That after he was dead that he be laid out, reassembled, in a private, sound proofed room for three days that only the Royal Family may visit. That they visit daily. That there be fine wine and a meal at his side and some of his books.

(They were his books, they were, he was Loki. Even if he was not born here.)

He had been willing to discuss in vivid and horrid detail how he should have to die, or suffer before dying, that Jotenheim be appeased--

"Though it is not my fault, the Chitarui thought perhaps they could launch an attack through the void left where Jotenheim was, which is how I returned to them. They used the weakening and destabilization of my will against us all. Personally, I'd suggest the degloving and disassembly of one my hands. After which all sins shall be excused."

Lips wanted to pull back, to bare teeth at horror, "Your hands?"No," he frowned, were the stupid? "One of my hands. Maybe part of my back, ( ... )

Clint looked at the hand diagram, and then slid out from the vent. "I think I get it, Thor." He jumped down, knees bending to absorb all his weight, willfully ignoring how the other two demigods bristled in surprise. He came over and put his hand on top third layer, "So that makes you," he nudged Tony's hand so it passed through the top layer and the Midgard layer. "But most of the aliens and everything we can't see is up here," slight handwave. "But there's nothing left for your brother, unless there's another layer. Or cross all three ( ... )

Way to drop a bomb there, Thor.

~And Clint just wandering around the air vents in the tower is such a thing. A great thing. He and Parker (Theif, not the spidey) should go on a date in an air vent.~

Considering thing, I'm not certain if Thor might not look at the moon and actually see a SHIP, with sails and stuff.

Mostly the bomb is to drop some handwavium on this. Nerfsplaining the character powers.

Right now though I'm sleepy and don't want to sleep. Also trying to stat up Loki in GURPS 4e. Because a fic inspired me into thinking of a crossover. And doing the magic, all I can think is he's an unlucky fuck.

Loki, as a god of Magic, undoubtedly has Magery 9 (that's insanely power, average fantasy is 4.) It provides, in normal skill based magic, 9 bonus to IQ for magic skills/spells. Which means very very quick mastery for Loki.

Unfortunetely for Loki Asgard's magic is Advantage based...
