The old man looked upon him, grim and fond all at once. "Do you expect that to convince me that you are not my son?" The last two words were said firmly, with emphasis, and Lopt did not think they were addressed to him.

He shrugged and smiled, "I was truly there and--"

Almost bored looking the King countered, "And Father Time truly exists, that means nothing."

"True, true. Does this mean you're going to have me sent back in time at the apropriet moment so that the Fearlings won't follow me here? You are very well defended, but to range so far it would be the powerful ones. Little murdered children." He leaned forward conspiratorially, trusting the warriors at his bag to keep hold of his chains. "He's started making them again you know. Not that you have to worry much about that." Few children. It might be a defence, or it might be a side effect

"Oh?" He asked, smirking, his lips edged with blood, "Really, some of your people don't seem to think so. And with how your boy there," he tilted his head at Thor, "Rambled on and on about things, trying to convince me that he knew all about what 'I' did with the Jotun and all? Impassive, but Thor flintched, so Lopt would count that a victory.

And, yes, of course he is nasty with knife twisting. Dilplomacy is war without blood, usually. And he has quite a bit of Loki still in him.
