Once again, I love you lol. This is perfect as usual and brings up so many good points about our poor Blaine. I am so happy you bring up the fact that it is so out of character for Blaine to not want to perform. To me this is so telling in that disinterest in things you once loved is a classic symptom of depression (as is the lack of appetite and sleep disruption Blaine also mentions). I hope that for his sake, and the sake of his relationship with Kurt, he doesn't go back to Dalton. While those boys are important to him, I feel like they would enable him rather than help. Although McKinley is currently ignoring him, I think there is someone there that *can* help...whether that be Emma, New Directions, or Burt.

Thanks hon! I see the developments that we've been teased as promising for potential development with Blaine, which is the main reason I wanted to get this down in the first place. The situations Blaine needs to really find himself outside of Kurt-and-Blaine are going to be present in the next few episodes, so I could see this potentially being very good for him. He needs to see what he could have at Dalton again and reject it because that's not him anymore. He needs to be separate from Kurt for a time so he can find validation from other sources. He's at a low emotional point now, but I think that's really necessary for him, and I could see this being very good in the long run for him, though it's heartbreaking in the short-term.

I love your meta. Just this.

No, wait, I'm lying, I have to point out something.
I see a lot of people saying how Dalton was Blaine's safe place, where he found shelter... Dalton was also the place where he met Kurt, realized he was in love with him and, most importantly, the place where they first kissed.

Ah yes, very true. I think Dalton was always meant to be transitional for Blaine (much like it was for Kurt, though Kurt's transitional period was obviously much shorter). He was able to put himself back together after a horrific experience and then met Kurt and had his eyes opened to what could be out there for him again. Dalton is a safe place, but the real world isn't safe and he needs to step out into that real world for any real satisfaction. For him to really find himself, I think he needs to be willing to reject that safety, hence the importance of the Warblers' return in the upcoming eps.

Thanks for the lovely comment!

This is some of the best Meta i've ever read.

Thank you! It's a lot shorter than it's companion piece, but I just needed to get it out, haha.

Just as brilliantly insightful as its predecessor.

I'd read character analysis this good about every Glee character if it existed.

Thank you, glad you think so! If I were more invested in the other characters, I might be more tempted to tackle analysis of them, but alas... Haha. Maybe Kurt, though.

Haha, I figured Blaine was your main interest.

I think it'd be fascinating to assemble fans of every character as insightful as you and form this collection of analyses of every character. I think Blaine, Kurt, Rachel, Finn, Santana, Karofsky, Emma, even Will are fertile ground for psycho-analysis.

Guilty ;) But I'd love to see analysis of some of the other main characters as well. It's a pretty fascinating, if intensive, undertaking.
