Ok I went to see it and yes, some parts were entirely LAME- like making Toby Mcquire out to be some sex god after going 'bad' - let me tell you directors, writers, wardrobe- it just makes him look geek extraordinaire. It was almost too embaressing to watch IMO ( Read more... )

The sexy thing was, sadly, the only bit of 'humour' in the movie.

Note the quotation marks around humour.

Also, note the additional u.

I myself didn't even find that funny. Actually it was very embarrasing. I was embarres for Toby.

he doesnt do sexy well, he can do cute yeah. Sometimes i look at him and think hes not the typical guy theyd cast for a superhero but i guess he fits thr geek bill :-/

well that was the whole story behind spiderman, he was a geek who became a superhero.

as most superhero's in stories are.

All the writers were geeks themselves so it is a bit of bending reality to serve themselves.

I'm sure they ALL wanted to be superhero's.

Except the guy who wrote WOnderwoman, he just wanted to play out S&M fantasies :D
