Grand Diamond's location is quite good! But from the outside, I think it doesn't look that good for the ratings. I nearly booked this but chose Baiyoke Sky in the end. One thing is good, I think it's beside Platinum Mall so it's a GOOD PLUS!
Baiyoke Sky's location is quite good but not the best. It's situated at Pratunam and along the roads out, you can easily hop into massage parlour for the achy body after shopping. But I like the hotel for it's spacious rooms, nice spread of breakfast and good cs.
If you want budget and near pratunam area, get Intra Regent. Not too bad but furniture might be a little old. I would try Holiday Inn Bangkok next time, it looks quite good and near shopping area as well. Most budget and accessible would be Asia but most people dislike it. I don't mind but it is quite dark and eerie(no bad experience though) imo. Do go for the cabaret show at Asia. It's very entertaining. Will post pics soon.

stayed at indra regent too, location-wise not that bad. it's in the same area as baiyoke sky/suite. staff were quite friendly too. the furniture and all were slightly old, but i dont mind and there's shopping downstairs.
i was deciding b/w baiyoke suite, baiyoke sky & arnoma. lmk which you end up choosing, i'm going in may and i've not booked my hotel! =P
