yes yes, definitely! Gus/Shawn is where it's at. And the show is so much fun! There were some really good Gus/Shawn fics that came out of yuletide this year: here. I particularly liked "The Curious Case Of That Time With That Thing," "Gusnapped," and especially "Gus Goes For The Gold Star."

Holy crap, the Giddygeek story was absolutely perfect. Exactly what I was looking for--the perfect extension of the goofiness and humor of the show, with slashy goodness on top. Thanks for the rec!

It is very possibly my FAVOURITE Gus/Shawn ever. I love how she takes the standard homoerotic playfulness of the show and just sort of . . . extends it. *goes to reread*

My current favorite fic in the Psych fandom is The Curious Case of that Time with the Thing By Giddygeek. It's Shawn/Gus, and made of awesome.

Pretty much the Yuletide archive is a treasure trove of good Psych fic. I don't really read outside of it because most of the slash fan base is Lassiter/Shawn, which I don't ship.

Hee, great minds think alike, since the Giddygeek story got rec'd above as well. That one's at the top of my list now. :D And while I really like Lassiter, the Gus/Shawn love just jumps right off the screen.

If you are not entirely opposed to Shawn/Lassiter, you may like A Different Corner by lucyhale. It is probably more serious than you are looking for, but I enjoyed it.

I'm glad you got some good stories! I heard the fic was pretty thin. In fact, I heard the phrase "crystalline manly emo tears" referenced in regard to . . . not *these* folks' fic. :)

I like Psych, and I've just started watching Boston Legal. I fell in love with Chuck (the tv show, not some random guy), but for the first time ever, this may not last long. I'm always being irritated by how Chuck never gets less naive. I can't believe that would ruin the whole show, but apparently it would.

I could believe Scully's scepticism in the face of the obvious for four years. Chuck doesn't get that kind of break, I guess. But -- Adam Baldwin!

I remember watching the pilot for Chuck, but I never really got into it. I quite liked Jake 2.0, which Chuck kept reminding me of. I ended up very distracted and wishing they hadn't canceled Jake 2.0, which is not a receptive frame of mind to start from.

As for Psych, you got that right! Not a lot out of stuff out there to begin with. And some of the stuff that's well-written takes a more serious tone than what I'm looking for. Me, demanding, much? Kind of cheeky of me to want the sort of light and breezy stories that I personally can't write to save my life, but there you go. I want my goofy fun fix.

I adore James Spader, and I did watch much of the first season of Boston Legal, but I stopped watching it somewhere along the way.
