I went into Hot Topic at lunch today because someone we were with needed to go, and I found this and this. They are totally hanging in my office now.

Today is Hawaiian Shirt Day at work.

Incidentally, it is also my six-month anniversary there. Yay.

Oooh, "The Princess Bride" is playing at the Reitz Union Cinema starting tomorrow. I'm 'bout it 'bout it.

I rented Love Actually and In America this weekend. They were both very good. I can't remember the last time I rented two movies and they were both good.

I just finally got around to watching Spider-Man. I'm glad I didn't pay for that crap because it was cheese city. Plus, I don't like Kirsten Dunst and I really don't like bad CGI. This movie had too much of both. Just awful.

My family and I went to the Ocala Drive-In tonight. I hadn't been to a drive-in since I was really little. It was fun (we brought all sorts of food and pigged out) and it was cheap. Upon watching the brilliant Dread Pirate Roberts/Inigo Montoya fencing scene in "The Princess Bride" this evening, it occured to me that I had not seen the movie in well over a year, maybe even two years. It also occured to me that I didn't really start getting into Christopher Guest stuff until about a year ago.

So there.

Oh, my goodness. As many times as I've seen "The Princess Bride," I never realized until last night when I started reading the book that Christopher Guest is in it. The book said "Chris Guest," so I just checked the movie to make sure it was the same guy, and lo and behold, it is! How did I never catch that before? I love Christopher Guest! ( Read more... )
