Fortunately, the other nation had not been kidnapped. Unlike Italy, Germany did not have the bad habit of being abducted nearly every time he stepped out the door ( ... )

Hearing a noise from the living area, Italy jumped and dropped the pan he'd been holding. He'd thought of making food to clear his mind of things, but he couldn't help but worry. Germany always tells him if he has to leave, and it seemed so odd that he wasn't there. What was that noise? Perhaps it was the person who'd kidnapped Germany and Prussia coming back to get him as well?

Italy slowly inched towards the door, peering round to see the mystery intruder. The suprise of it actually being Germany made his heart skip a beat, and he grinned in happiness.

"Germany! You didn't get kidnapped or get lost!" he shouts, running across the small space and preparing to launch himself at the other man.

Germany had suffered one too many of Italy's sudden hugs of greeting. Usually, he braced himself for the impact within a split second, but if he dropped the box he was carrying, he doubted its contents would appreciate it.

"Italy, be careful!" He exclaimed, holding out one of his hands to hold the excitable nation back. Kidnapped and lost? He knew he was not the sort of man kidnappers would spontaneously decide to victimize, nor was he Austria, who, it seemed, couldn't go outdoors without getting lost. Really, the other nation could get such odd ideas at times.

He set the box carefully on the table they had in the living area, shrugging off his heavy jacket. "I was... er," He looked away, then simply gestured towards the package.

"That's for you. From me, obviously."

Managing to skid to a halt in his tracks, Italy looked at the box the German was holding out to him. It didn't even cross his mind that they would actually be getting presents for each other; a small doubt crept up in the back of the Italian's mind. All he was going to do was cook the two of them a special dinner, and maybe bake a cake.

Accepting the box, Italy gently placed it on the floor- whatever was inside was fragile, from the way Germany was holding it. Softly opening the box, he wondered what was inside Looking inside, he gave a gasp of surprse. It was... had Germany really bought him this for Christmas? Getting up, he threw his arms around his roomate and kissed him on the cheek.

"ThankyouthankyouthankyouGermanythankyouthankyou!"
