Who: Diva, Charles, Saya, Haji When: 03/24, evening Where: Near the fountain Rating: PG-13? Warnings: None yet~ Summary: Diva meets her chevalier from another world!! and they wait for Saya to find them.
It took less time than expected, Saya rampaging on from building to building, Haji trailing behind her with great doubt. He'd stopped short of asking Asellus for help, regarding the act as a breach of his allegiance to Saya, but nothing about the young man claiming to be Diva's Chevalier felt quite right. And Saya...
Saya's behavior these past hours had alarmed him greatly. Gone was the sweet, pained woman he had waited for in the years following Diva's defeat, as though releasing all the ugly things she couldn't afford to express during the battle. As though, for the first time, the Chevalier's arrival had awakened in her more than her anger and sorrow for Riku--her hate. In spite of all things, Haji had never before seen Saya hate her enemy so
( ... )
Diva was eager to see her Saya herself; she wasn't sure as to the full reason as to wanting to see her, but she knew a small part of her wanted to. As the two sat and waited to see if Saya would show up, something rang throught Diva's body; so it was time, was it? She gave a very small glance towards Charles, but then went back to looking forward. Not wanting to wait to see if he had noticed, she stood up and moved forward slightly.
She stayed where she was for a few moments; it looked as if she had walked out unintentionally. And although no one saw it, she smirked. "...it's nice to see you sister~" she said rather loudly. She then glanced up to where Saya was, the biggest grin on her lips.
Charles looked up as Diva stood; then his gaze followed Diva's and his eyes locked onto Saya. So here they were again.
If he let himself think about it, he realized he didn't know how to feel about Saya anymore. The rage certainly hadn't disappeared entirely, but in those last moments-- And that was exactly why he didn't let himself think about it. If nothing else in this world was the same, at least he had his hate for Saya that had sustained him for almost forty years.
His dark eyes narrowed slightly as he greeted her from afar with a smile and a flippant wave.
"Diva," she answered, a statement in and of itself, and a thread of blood dropped off the tip of her sword to the ground below with a pat sound that normal humans wouldn't have been able to hear. Her eyes flicked over to the Chevalier by her sister's side and the heat in her stare wavered a little; it wasn't Phantom. Was it?
And did it matter? She knew what she'd come here to do. Riku hadn't suffered any less for the wrong Chevalier being here now. The image of his broken, naked statue was one that she forcefully pushed out of her mind as often as she had to; it made her sick with grief. Fury.
Haji hovered behind her in silence, coffin-like cello case at the ready, but appeared to hold the stranger under heavy scrutiny.
Saya looked to be spending a few seconds thinking, but quickly spoke again: "You've done the same things in this world."
The smile on Diva's lips seemed as if it were growing bigger each each second. Hearing Saya's words, a small giggle left said lips as she stepped forward slightly. "Oh~? And what things have I done, sister~?" She knew what she had done; she had done what Saya refused to do.
As she stood where she was, her eyes remained on one person only, and that was Saya. She didn't care what Charles was doing at the moment; he'd be able to fend for himself. And Haji..... he was someone Diva cared less for.
"You made Watanuki your Chevalier against his will," she exclaimed, voice hardening again after the fact. "You take what you want as though you have any right."
You took away my right to stop fighting.
"You can't be allowed to do that anymore!" Saya called out. "You don't have any right to take things from people as you see fit!"
For a moment it looked as though she might lunge, and Haji tensed behind her. Instead her sword clattered as she squeezed it, white-knuckled, eyes alight, lips growing flushed with the struggle of controlling her emotions. "Riku--" she hissed out, pained. "If you're alive, then he--"
"Diva had nothing to do with Riku," Charles said coldly, taking a step forward and glancing quickly at Diva out of the corner of his eye. If anyone was going to be cut up over Riku, it was going to be him, not her. "Taking him hostage to lure you to Vietnam was an act of my own volition that did not involve her in any way."
Diva had still been coming out of her hibernation, hadn't she? It was Van who had killed him, but... no, it was...
Diva looked back at Charles for a bit, before looking back towards Saya. Riku. How she missed that boy~ His blood was quite delicious. It was a shame he wasn't here either....
The smirk on her face broadened slightly. "...oh~? Are you still mad about what I did to Riku, sister?" She giggled. "He was such a tasty treat~ I would have loved to see him again~"
She then narrowed her eyes slightly, the smile still on her lips. "As for Watanuki-kun~ He really did want to be by my side~ I helped him realize it~" She then giggled again.
