A certain part of him had wondering if Reno had ok'ed this little lunchon or if Elena had just planned it with out asking him. Regardless, Black wasn't too worried. The red-head was already having dinner with her, so lunch, in his opinion, was fair game.
He carefully packed up the gifts he'd gotten for Elena and headed to her home. The hat he'd gotten her matched his own. She had liked his, he remembered, so he had one made for her on the upper level. This gift was certain to be unique, not your run of the mill flowers and chocolate. When he wanted to stand out, he knew how to, and in this case he certainly wanted to. He had also taken care to get her a bottle of liquor which he slipped into his coat pocket for the walk over.
Once at her home, he knocked and awaited her answer. He wouldn't break in today.
Elena hadn't really thought to ask Reno; it wasn't a big deal, really, so she didn't feel the need to "get his permission" on much of anything. But, on the other side, she didn't hide it from him either, had plastered it up there on her journal for all the city to see. Rude was supposed to be taking Reno out today, too, if that was any show of anything, so there was no reason to worry behind it.
Hearing the knock, her head shot up and she ran to the door, nearly tripping over her feet in the process. Throwing it open, because there was no idea in her mind that it could be anyone other than Black, she smiled across at him.
"You came." She moved out of the path of the door, letting him come in if he wanted. Over in the corner, Nathan and the kitten were curled up and sleeping. "And you don't even need to spend any money now. How thoughtful am I, right?"
Black gave a nod as he entered her home. "Of course I came. You don't think I'm the sort who stands up my appointments... much less my friends, do you?"
He gave a quick glance around the setting that he'd previously only seen from the outside. Nothing glamorous, but then again, not much was in this place. It was a quaint little home.
He turned back to her and held out the hat box. "I brought you a little something. A present of sorts. This holiday has me feeling generous, I suppose." He told her with his normal sarcastic smirk.
